The data controller (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”) for the SundLøn app (web, iOS, and Android) is Aescul.app ApS, CVR no. 38582879, Steen Billes Gade 7, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, Denmark, and can be contacted at [email protected] and via our website https://aescul.app.

B. Purpose of Processing

The main purpose of collecting data is to enable the app to function. We collect and store basic identification information to create and maintain a user profile in the app. The email address is also used for communication between us and the registered user (referred to as “the user”), but only in the form of rare service communication – never for marketing. The user then enters personal information in the app, including work performed, vacation, and salary-related data. The app processes these entries, performs salary reconciliation, and provides an overview of the entered information.
The processed data is stored in a database via our own server (see later), and the data is simultaneously saved locally in the app so the user can access it offline for short periods.

C. Categories of Data Subjects and Personal Data

The individuals whose personal data is processed (the data subjects) are:

• Registered users of the app (“users”).

The ordinary personal data processed include:

• Contact information: First name, last name, profession, license ID, and email.
• Information on salary and financial matters: Salary rates and allowances.
• Information on work and employment: Workplace, employment period, working days, and working periods.
• Professional qualifications: Special work functions.
• Pension details.
• Vacation.
• Purchase information: Subscription status and transaction metadata (we do NOT receive payment card data).

Special categories of personal data:
We do NOT process any special categories of data (Article 9 data: racial or ethnic origin, political, religious, or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for identification, health data, or data concerning sexual orientation or sexual life).

D. Categories of Recipients and Data Processors

Personal data is stored and processed on our backend servers and in our database. To support offline functionality, a local copy is stored on your device via PowerSync/SQLite, as well as local preferences.

We also use the following data processors:

• ZITADEL for identity and login (passkeys)
• RevenueCat for purchase/subscription management
• Apple and Google as app stores and payment facilitators

Where required, we enter into data processing agreements.

E. Transfers to Third Countries and International Organizations

We only use servers located within the EU. See also section D.

F. Deletion

We retain user data for as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal requirements. The user may delete their profile at any time inside the app, after which we delete or anonymize the user’s personal data. Local copies on the device are deleted when the app is uninstalled.

We may retain aggregated and anonymized data for statistics and service improvement.

As a general rule, data is retained until the user deletes it. If a user remains inactive for more than 5 years, we will contact them by email. Data is permanently deleted if the user does not indicate that they wish to retain it.

G. Technical and Organizational Measures

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures, including access control, logging, secure storage, and encryption where relevant. We ensure that all administrators maintain confidentiality and handle personal data responsibly.

H. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

I. Cookies and Local Storage

The app uses necessary cookies and local storage for login and operation. We do not use cookies for marketing purposes.

J. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. The most recent version will always be available in the app.
